Our Mission
Garden Level Projects is an artist run project space located in Chicago's Lakeview neighborhood. Through a combination of seasonal exhibitions, artist support, and public programing, Garden Level offers a space of discourse and an alternative conceptual framework for contemporary artists and a point of access, education, and artistic engagement for the local community. Garden Level projects is dedicated to fostering dialogue around contemporary issues and diverse artistic practices while working to engage our neighborhood and city. Our non-commercial (currently working toward official 501c(3) recognition) status allows artists and curators a flexibility not found in for-profit galleries while maintaining even closer partnerships with the local community and other area arts organizations. Our non-traditional viewing space also allows for artistic experimentation and exists as a cozy counter-point to major institutions.
